Fred and Bob The Fish cartoon characters were created in 1984 while attending Southeastern Massachusetts University.

The cartoon "Fred and Bob The Fish" ran in the college newspaper beginning in 1985. Fred is a mild - mannered guy just cruising through life. No worries, no future, no cares.

The protagonist to Fred of course is Bob The Fish, the wise-ass, sarcastic fish always giving Fred a hard time.

In 1996 Bob The Fish cartoons were scaled down to add single frame format. It was simpler and more to the point. As always the cartoons dealt with Fred confusing the fact that Bob The Fish was not a normal pet. He was not like a dog or cat, yet Fred treated him that way. When Bob The Fish was bad, he would be sent to his "bowl". Fred still took Bob The Fish for walks. He still included him on all his adventures. And looked for advise along the way.
