After college, Fred and Bob The Fish began their adventures in the ourside world.

The struggles between Fred and Bob had to do with finding a job, finding an apartment and generally life after school, or as we now call it "reality".

From bartending, social events and dating. Fred and Bob The Fish did it all.

In 1996 Bob The Fish cartoons were scaled down to add single frame format. It was simpler and more to the point. As always the cartoons dealt with Fred confusing the fact that Bob The Fish was not a normal pet. He was not like a dog or cat, yet Fred treated him that way. When Bob The Fish was bad, he would be sent to his "bowl". Fred still took Bob The Fish for walks. He still included him on all his adventures. And looked for advise along the way.
